McLaren unveils new livery
McLaren will race in whisky company Diageo’s Johnnie Walker livery for the first time in this afternoon’s Hungarian Grand Prix.
As part of what is being described as “a ground-breaking partnership” – but not a title sponsorship deal – the pair of MP4-20s will bear allegiance to the whisky brand in place of departing tobacco sponsor West.
The iconic Johnnie Walker Striding Man and Johnnie Walker wording will appear on the air intake of the cars as well as on the drivers’ overalls and team race suits.
In addition to its annual marketing investment of £15 million, Johnnie Walker pledged to invest £2 million in programmes designed to promote responsible drinking
