Subject: Chairman's Greetings - Selamat Berpuasa
Dear Colleague,
I would like to send early Ramadhan greetings to all Muslim Shell Malaysia staff - Selamat Berpuasa.
For the benefit of newly arrived staff in Malaysia, in the first week of October, the holy Muslim month of Ramadhan will begin during which our Muslim colleagues will be required to fast from dawn to dusk until the Aidil Fitri or Hari Raya festivities.
I would like to remind staff to be considerate and avoid making lunch-time engagements or scheduling late teleconferences and meetings; we need to allow our Muslim colleagues to be with their families for the breaking of fast.
For Muslim staff who are engaged in activities off-shore, or at other outside locations such as our terminals, depots, refinery and fabrication yards, please approach your supervisors in the event that you need rest or break as this can contribute to sustaining a safe working environment for everyone at all times.
Once again, Selamat Berpuasa.
